Tony is SLOWLY starting to show an interest in football. Last night we discovered that the Gophers were on ESPN and he was excited to put on his favorite hat and watch "baseball" with Daddy. (baby steps)
Unfortunately, when you are a Minnesota Gopher/Viking fan you have to learn to accept bitter disappointment.
Not only did they lose, but we all decided that those yellow uniforms make them look like pansies. Tony DID have fun looking for Papa Jocko in the stands and Livie stated that she couldn't understand why "anyone would risk their life for a football." We shoulda stuck to "What Not to Wear." Maybe next time.

Tony, we would have waved to you if we had known you'd be watching! We LIKED the gold uniforms (they were NOT yellow), it brightened up the entire Metrodome! We cheered hard the first half, then faded a little in the second, left early and got home at 1:30 am....yawn! Thanks Tony for your Gopher support. We had a blast at the game and the gold uniforms were great. Just hang in there and before you get much older the Maroon and Gold will be winners. I hope to take you to a Gopher game soon. Noise, crazy college kids, food, drink, GREAT GOPHER BAND, oh yea, and we can watch the game. Just don't let your Mom or Livie get you down on football.

My advice for little Tony is to stick with the Packers... 'course that is coming from a house full of Packers fans JUST after the Packers beat the pants off of the Vi-queens! It is much more fun to follow a team that actually wins a game! Keep Watching!Maybe Papa Jacko will take you to a REAL game - at Lambeau Filed!
Tony....you just keep watching what ever you want to watch. The Gophers are bound to win one of these times, just like the Vikings. We had to watch the Gophers, because Sonny's nephew David played for them, and the Vikings just cause we live in Minn.......go GOPHERS & VIKINGS...and your Gpa Jocko knows the best.
