Saturday turned out to be rainy in the morning to the guys began the process in the garage. They impressed all the ladies by having everything sorted AND labeled before they began. Papa Jocko maintains a respectable distance, yet is still readily available to fetch.
The girls and Tony got out of the way and went shopping at the outlets. CC is shown here enjoying a cookie break!
Upon running out of money, we were pleased to see how far they had gotten! Again, notice Papa at his respectable distance. Gramma Sally was enlisted to help decide where to place the swing set. How come Chris is the only one working?????

Good job Daddy & Co! The guys did an awesome job and Erin is looking forward to many hours on the deck with a book this summer (wink) while Celia enjoys her new swing set.
About 45 seconds after completion, half the neighborhood came over to enjoy the fun!Erin had found an article about a neat little drive-in located in Delano, MN. After Gramma and Papa headed home we decided to take a little road trip. Since we had a new destination, Chris got on google and we found a nature reserve we could hit along the way.
Jeff got a first hand experience of how the Maras family rolls....we spied this beautiful, round, red barn and altered our route to get a better look.
We sent the GPS into a tailspin....you just NEVER know what you'll find when you hit the road to someplace new!!!!
Jeff was a good sport about it all and he didn't mind one bit when 10 minutes after we took this picture and got back on the road we noticed that all three kids hands were bright red with the old paint from this fence. WHOOPS!!!! Thank goodness Auntie Cleanie had wipes in the car!
The place we pulled over was at the corner of Hassan Parkway and Ghostley Road. Tony and Livie thought it would be uber cool to live on Ghostley Road!!!!
We arrived at Rebecca Lake Reserve and were all impressed with this beautiful find. It's a lovely area with a small lake, beach, fishing ponds, walking trails, etc... I hope the Skubics will enjoy many return trips to this little oasis not far from their home.
The kids humor me (at least two of them did) with a pose next to the quaint lake.
Celia decided enough was enough and laid down for a rest on the dock....she seems to take after her big cousin Olivia. Funny little girl!
After our hike we enjoyed this AMAZING park. I have never seen anything like it. It was designed by Landscape Structures, which just happens to be the company that designed the playground equipment at Tony's school! (believe it or not, Tony remembers seeing the name on the equipment. His brain is like that) Funny side story...we were looking for the drive-in in Delano (ok, we were really following this SWEET Porche SUV) when we happened upon a cool, modern building that happened to be the headquarters of Landscape Structures. How about that? Explains how they got the coolest park ever!
The attention to detail is what really caught my eye. If I had a million (or so) dollars, this would be in MY backyard.
We adults all wished we could go down this slide....oh wait, Jeff DID go down the slide. Sorry I didn't capture that...check Erin's blog.

Since Chris is no longer allowed to hold the map, we decided to give that job to CC!!!
Finally the Peppermint Twist. It was cold and windy when we arrived but the tackiness of it all perked us right up! We all enjoyed delicious burger and shakes. Definitely worth the trip.

Thanks again for all the awesome help last weekend. We had a blast while you were here, even though we had to drive down a dirt road to get closer to the barn!
