Winter S*cks

We are on our THIRD snow day....that's right THIRD. Not third for the year, third for the WEEK. My kids have not been in school since December 18th and this is our SIXTH snow day since December. Sigh. We are in the midst of bitter cold and horrible winds. In Nebraska the snow just blows and blows and blows...reminds us a lot of North Dakota winters and those LONG walks to classes at UND. Anyways, we have organized, cleaned closets, sorted toys, played Wii, watched movies, read books, played games, caught up on laundry, cleaned closets, played Wii, read books, played games....you get the picture. Temps are supposed to be in the 30's next week...Hallelujah! I shudder to think about when all this snow melts...it's the most our area has had in decades. We may actually get to use our canoe for the first time since moving here!! haha. Right now Tony is sorting his animal collection into bins according to continents and Olivia is watching a movie...she gets braces put on at 1:00 today. The Orthodontist hasn't called to cancel so we assume things will proceed as planned. Stay warm!
