Well, we didn't win the HGTV Florida Dreamhouse last night. Dang. Tony was ready to start packing!!! Looks like Nebraska is still our SUMMER and WINTER home. Found this picture in my files...thought it was uplifting considering it is snowing right now and dingy outside. Reminds us that things WILL be green again.
Sunday was a rather pleasant day....brisk,but not windy. We headed to an area Wildlife Refuge for a walk in the woods and to see the migrating birds. We were able to see HUNDREDS of geese through the observation room inside, no pictures sorry. We had Tony along, so no deer either. For those of you who don't know Tony, he's loud. :) Don't you love the kid's outfits? No chance of losing them in the woods. Contents of Tony's fanny pack: tweezers, magnifying glass, whistle and 2 fruit snacks. All those episodes of "Survivorman" we watch have really paid off. It was fun for the kids to go INTO the woods. Usually when we hike here we have to stay on the trail. If you look close, all those woody-vines curling up around the trees are poison ivy!!! It is everywhere down here and you have to be real careful while hiking in the woods. I hope it isn't snowing where you are. To quote my favorite little leprechaun...Happy Thankspatricks Day everyone!

Ah shucks....Tony...I was going to put my name on the reservation list for the home in Florida....darn. Oh, well...you can come and visit us in Ely instead. Have a Happy Easter...you, Olivia, Mom and Dad!!
