What a GREAT weekend we had! Gramma and Papa Thompson, along with Erin, Jeff and Celia made the trip down for Easter. Luckily for us, not MN, a big snow storm moved through so they came a day early! First thing we did Friday was take Celia to the zoo. She had a blast running around the exhibits. Above she is kissing her own reflection...no germs on that window I'm sure.
In the "Jungle" the floor is dirt and can get muddy with the humidity in there. I warned those of us with jeans hitting the floor that we may want to roll them up a bit so they didn't get muddy. "Farmer Jeff" took my advice to the extreme. After the zoo we had dinner at the "Bohemian Cafe." A Czech restaurant that's been in Omaha since 1927. What a fun experience! The food was great and Chris and I can't wait to take his parents there! Sorry no pictures...check Erin's blog.
Who wants more blueberry pancakes????
Celia was such a treat to have around. She just loves the kids and the dog. She was so excited each morning to wake and see them again. She had a blast playing with the dress-up clothes and all the toys downstairs.
While Celia napped, Gramma Sally made Easter cut-out cookies with the kids. They had fun rolling, cutting and decorating.

Next Auntie Ernie decorated Easter eggs with the kids. It was a treat for them to get that one-on-one time with Gramma and Ernie.

Celia greeted Livie each morning with a BIG hug. What a precious picture this is.
Kid pose with their Easter baskets. The bunny filled them up and hid eggs all over the house. The three of them had fun searching...Nelson really got into things by sniffing them out for the kids!
Celia has developed quite a taste for jelly beans. She would open an egg, the beans would spill out and Nelson would be there to gobble them up.
It didn't take Celia long to figure out where we kept the "teets" at my house. This was her pose about every ten minutes. How can you say no to that face???? We are so glad everyone made the trip to visit. We had a great weekend, with great food, great fun and great company.

ah, good times. i'm glad 3/4 of the family made the drive down...with these great blogs i never have to leave my house now to visit. perfect. great looking eggs beebops.

Thank you Jo, Chris, Livie, Tony and Nelson for a wonderful Easter weekend. We really had a great time and it was so much fun to watch the kids play with Celia. She is one lucky little girl to have such great aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents. Thanks again and we'll hopefully see you soon (in Elk River!). HA!

Hi Jo.....ahhh...the ole rolling pin...how nice. Your Grandma was a good cook and you are right....that rolling pin made a lot of pastas, pies, and she was a mean pasty maker....I still miss her! Thanks for sharing...I hardly wait for new photos..Tell Tony I am still disappointed you didn't get the Florida house....
