One of the best things about living here is our proximity to Omaha. There is ALWAYS something to do or see, especially around the holidays. A generous donor made it possible for the Lauritzen Botanical Gardens to offer free admission on Sundays in December. We decided to take advantage and see their beautiful pointsetta show. They grow over 5,000 pointsettas in their greenhouses starting in July in preparation for this event. (oh, how I love Google.)

They have a model railroad with replica of Omaha landmarks all created out of natural materials.

These were my favorite variety on display.

Woo-woo! Santa was there, they had crafts for the kids and a holiday music concert.....which means extra credit for Livie from her band instructor....score!

The 20 ft. pointsetta tree was most impressive and I LOVED the cranberries floating in the water feature. Next Saturday we are looking forward to attending the USAF Band Holiday Concert downtown. By the way....we don't have ANY snow at all. Not a flake.
