We've just returned from an 11 day trip to Minnesota for Christmas. We all enjoyed the snow, time with family, good food, the snow...you get the drift. (ha!)
After a LONG drive home through blowing snow with frozen wiper fluid we all enjoyed a good night sleep in our own beds and woke up late this morning ready to put Christmas away.
Oh yeah, and Happy 18th Anniversary to US!
We loved getting married in January, we really did. The church was dark and cozy. Nothing was booked because it was the dead of winter and I could wear long sleeves. Fast forward 18 years later and we hate having an anniversary on January 2nd. We've usually just returned from a long and crazy visit to MN. We're crabby from the long drive home in our overpacked car. We're weary at the amount of work that lies ahead of us trying to put Christmas away and find places for all the kids new toys, etc...
Despite it all, we'll pause for a moment, acknowledge the day and know that neither of us would change a thing.
