School is OUT!!!!

Yesterday was the last day of school for Olivia and Tony. They are officially going to be a 6th grader and 3rd grader next year! This year went by in a FLASH. Both kids had great teachers and finished the year with stellar report cards. We're very proud of them both.

As I update this, Olivia should be just waking up at the sleepover she attended last night after her first softball game. Her team was behind 14-2 (ouch) but they scored 6 more runs during their last at bat for a final score of 14-8.

Now that school is done and I have finished work we need to kick it into gear these next three days as we leave Saturday for our VACATION out East. We fly into Hartford, CT on Saturday and will drive to Newark, NJ on Sunday morning. We will spend Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and part of Wednesday enjoying New York City for the first time! Wednesday we will drive the length of Long Island and ferry across Long Island Sound back up to Connecticut. From there we will head east a little further to Rhode Island for two days on the beach...hopefully there will be some sun! On Friday we'll head back up to Connecticut and spend our last two nights with Brian, Amanda and Cal in their new home....returning Sunday the 31st. Whew! We've been so busy here that we really haven't had time to think about the logistics of it all...but the kids are old enough to brave the Subways with us and we are all excited for this grand adventure!
