Spring is in the air!

This weekend we were blessed with a visit from our neighbors who moved to Kansas City 2-1/2 years ago. Not only were they wonderful neighbors, but they were good friends and we miss them. Their daughter Erin is right in between Liv and Tony age-wise so they always had a playmate.

We had a great visit over lunch and Erin stayed to hang out with us while her mom, Gilda, and brother Conner made a round of visits elsewhere. Saturday night Gilda and I got together with some other gals for an evening of margaritas, laughs and memories!

(2nd grader, 3rd grader, 5th grader, and one 7th grade giant!)
The kids fell right into step with each other and had a fun day. We waited TOO LONG for a visit and I promised to head to Kansas City to visit this summer. Thanks for coming guys, it was great to see you!!!

On Sunday we had a beautiful Spring day. Chris trimmed back our dogwood bushes and the kids (including our pal, Maggie) got busy building GIANT eagle nests to play in.

They crack me up....nothing like a big pile of sticks for an afternoon of FUN! We have temps in the 70's in store for today. When I dropped Olivia at school this morning kids were in shorts and flip flops already....come on Spring!

Good for you! We are even having spring way up here in the northland! The snow is melting like crazy and it's running like a river gone crazy down the streets and into the storm drains. My tulips are popping up and we have the bedroom window open. Ahhhhhhh spring, nothing smells sweeter!! Except Cal's little baby feet! Miss you guys, just a couple more weeks!!!

Me again...tell Chris he can poke those dogwood sticks into your vegetable garden and let the cukes and melons ramble over them....like recyclable trellises.

Cool nests guys! That's a clever way to spend a warm afternoon! We took out C's playhouse yesterday and she has it all decorated with rocks, just like her big cousin Livie would do. We are counting the days until we get to your house! Are we going to color Easter Eggs???

Miss you,
Auntie Ernie

PS
Thanks for the Flamingo Fact Tony!

PPS
Celia says she is going to buy a flamingo in Mexico for Auntie Jo. Um...
