Last weekend The Skubics, along with G/G Thompson made the road trip to watch Olivia march with her middle school band. Each year our middle and high school bands "WOW" everyone at the AppleJack Festival in Nebraska City. To help with your Nebraska history, Nebraska City is the home of Arbor Day! Anyways....

We all donned our Blair Bear Gear and got ready to cheer on our musicians!

We made a brief stop at Arbor Day Farms for some hot cider and caramel apples. Delish!

Oh yes, and funnel cakes at the parade. Don't forget funnel cakes. CC and Ernie are bothed covered in powedered sugar.

We wanted a good spot, so we had a pretty long wait for the parade. These two are cut from the same cloth and kept themselves entertained AND comfortable.

Here they come! Amazing is what they are. Many, many, many mornings of early band practice and an excellent Band Director brings home first prize pretty much every year.

They come by so fast, it was hard to snap pictures and scream and cheer and clap at the same time! We are very proud of Livie and the rest of the 7th & 8th graders for all their hard work. She's in the middle of all those clarinets somewhere! If you notice at the back of the parade on the right, the young man with the lady's hand on his shoulder is totally blind. Inpsiring.

All the fire engines were a little loud for CC but I love how she NEVER dropped her candy bag! Thatta girl!

I wasn't any better at taking pictures from the weekend than Erin was. But it was crazy chaos at my house and we LOVED every minute of it. Thanks for coming guys! In a couple weeks we head north as we were invited to a very special 4th birthday party and the theme has something to do with the fun and fancy pig pictured below:

THEN! Not too long after that our Maras MN crew is heading down for their annual Fall visit. We're thinking Auntie Jojo will LOVE LOVE LOVE Arbor Day Tree Farms. Waddaya think Jojo?

We may be far away, but we appreciate our families taking the time and making the long drive to come see us. We create great memories each visit.
